Thirty days without the ad-lanterns

The advertising merchants shutter our account — so the whole world gets cheaper.

A letter arrived on the sixteenth of June. The merchants who run the advertising lanterns have shuttered our account for thirty days — "invalid activity," they call it, clicking judged enthusiastic beyond nature. One does not argue with entities that size.

So we adapted, the way hunters do. The price of every action in the world — mining, crafting, researching — has been lowered to a hundredth of a coin. While the lanterns stay dark, the one way to refill your purse is a small bag of eleven gold coins for one euro. Eleven coins, at the new prices, buys eleven hundred actions. The dark month will be a cheap one.

And the work never stopped while we read letters: the first iteration of battles has entered the world, with training grounds to bruise yourself safely in. Music plays now and the settings obey. The daily quests knock when they are ready. The map learned to show terrain — the true shape of the ground you walk. Guilds now show their members, and the red dot in the menu that would not stop staring has finally been put down.
